Seven and a Half Years – The Musical

Written, composed and performed: Mark Glentworth
Presented by: Blondie Headlight Productions

Seven and a half Years, is a true story of a man’s journey from success to despair and isolation, back to final rejuvenation portrayed through the power of music and words.

This musical drama is about a composer and musician who at the peak of his career suddenly and rapidly suffers a career stopping health crisis, which spirals out of control. This story is very relevant to modern day life and the pressures that it brings. It touches on many issues including mental health and wellbeing, loss, grief, love and rebirth. It is ultimately an uplifting story as it focuses on, not the fact that we may become ill or unable to carry on with our lives, but rather on why and how we overcome the challenges life throws at us.

Mark will be performing songs, from the condensed version of his forthcoming musical drama, Seven and a half Years. He will be joined by actor Vincenzo Nicoli and Robin Kingsland.

Mark is an acclaimed West End Composer and long-term collaborator on many of Steven Berkoff’s productions including, ‘On the Waterfront’. Mark is well known for his vibraphone solo, ‘Blues for Gilbert’.
